Commission after 10+2

There are 2 options to join Army after completing 12th.
1st : To Join National Defence Academy(NDA ), Khadakwasla,Pune.
2nd : Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for which one requires more than 70% marks in 12th

 Age : 16 1/2  to 19 yrs at the time of joining
Edn Qualification : 10+2 , any stream
Advertisement : In Jun and Dec every year
Training : 3 yrs in NDA,Pune and 1 yr in Indian Military Academy(IMA),Dehradun

TES

 Age : 16 1/2 to 19 yrs at the time of joining
Edn Qualification : 10+2 in PCM , marks >70%
Advertisement : May/Jun and Oct/Nov
Training : 1 yr in Officers' Training Academy (OTA),Gaya , 3 yrs in Pune/Mhow/Secundrabad
               After Commission 1 yr training in Pune/Mhow/Secundrabad.
