Career as Junior Commissioned Officers(JCOs) and Other Ranks (Jawans)

I have received a No of queries from students who are interested in joining army as Personnel Below Officers Rank (PBOR).For the benefit of such candidates. I am posting the eligibility criteria required for the entry as PBOR (JCOs and Jawans).

Category : Soldier General Duty (GD)
Age : 17 ½ to 21 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : Class 10th passed with min 45 % aggregate marks and 32% marks in each subject
OR
Class 12th passed (without any criteria of percentage)

Category : Soldier Technical
Age : 17 ½ to 23 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : Class 12th passed with Phy,Chem ,Maths(PCM) and English.(without any criteria of percentage)

Category : Soldier Clerk/SKT
Age : 17 ½ to 23 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : * Class12th passed in Arts,Science or Commerce with 50% mks aggregate and 40% mks in all subjects
* Compulsary Subjects : English and Maths/Book Keeping/Accounts in 10th or 12th
OR
* Graduate with English and Maths/Book Keeping/Accounts
OR
* Graduate without English and Maths/Book Keeping/Accounts
* 40% mks in English and Maths/Book Keeping/Accounts atleast once in Class 10th or 12th.

Category : Soldier Nursing Assistant (NA)
Age : 17 ½ to 23 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : * Class 12th passed with Phy,Chem ,Biology(PCB) and English.
* Min 50 % aggregate mks and 40% mks in each subject

Note: If B.Sc.(with Botony/Zoology/Bio Sc) and English (Simple Pass) then stipulation of marks in 12th is waived off.However the candidate should have studied all 4 subjects (Eng, Phy,Chem,Bio) in 12th also.

Category : Soldier Tradesmen (House Keeper and Mess Keeper)
Age : 17 ½ to 23 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : Class 8th passed

Category : Soldier Tradesmen (Trades other than House Keeper and Mess Keeper)
Age : 17 ½ to 23 yrs (on the 1st day of the recruitment rally)
Edn : Class 10th passed
